Moon over MtLawleyShire

Clear skies, hot weather coming – perfect for moon shots:

the afternoon moon, pale in the bright empty sky

then as the sun sank below the trees and houses, the sky lost the brilliance:

Sunset was mostly glare but left a lovely glow:

and in the moon’s side of the sky, she began to shine:

the glow faded, pulled down to become someone else’s dawn:

the sky darkened further:

the fading glow and serenity in the east as light leaves the sky

so, finally, in her proper dark, tonight’s beautiful moon.

Bees in flowers in MtLawleyShire

There were many, many bees around the Grevillea and the coral gum blossom.  I am allergic to bees, but I still love them.  So I leaned in.

The coral gum blossom was literally buzzing:

MtLawleyShire and a Sunday afternoon walk

I have a sunset to post, from last night, but it is going to take a while because it was spectacular.  Today, the sunset was merely glare in a featureless summer sky, but before that, there were flowers, bees, trees and birds

Flowers:

In sumptuous shadow and flowing light – hibiscus

the outrageous and glowing colour of bougeanvillea:

I walked past a beautiful rose garden:
